Gen7 Renewables Energy is an Irish solar development company developing a solar farm in Nash, Co Wexford called Shelburne Energy Farm
As a company we bring together over one hundred years of expertise in engineering, finance, information technology, new business development and marketing with the core skills to successfully develop and operate what will be one of the largest solar farms in Ireland.
About the project
Gen7 is partnering with Eirgrid, the government and local landowners to develop a solar farm in south Wexford, providing much needed renewable electricity into the national grid and helping Ireland meet its carbon reduction goals.
In addition to the core team, Gen7 has assembled an experienced team of consultants covering design, planning, construction and all disciplines required to develop and operate the solar farm.
Progress to Date
Gen7 has submitted planning for the solar farm called Shelburne Energy Farm with an outline plan to supply electricity to the network by 2028. The company have already made significant progress to meet those targets:
Who we are
Gen7 is made up of all five O’Connor siblings, Eddie, John, Hugh, Paudie and Olive. We are the seventh generation of O’Connors to grow up in Nash, Co Wexford and that connection to our locality, that heritage is important to us.
